Earth Day!
April 22nd was Earth Day
and our second graders had an Earth Day celebration! The planted
marigolds, ate "dirt", made earth day t-shirts, played a bean bag math game,
wrote about their gift for the earth, and decorated paper bags that are to be
delivered to a grocery store. Check out photos from our celebration and remember
to recycle, reuse, and reduce!

Literacy
Day!
On April 19th, Allen School
celebrates Literacy Day! Second graders celebrate by presenting a reader's
theatre. This year they presented the true story of the three little pigs!
On Thurs. September 23rd, our second graders celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day! We made apple crisp, tasted lots of apples, graphed our favorite apples, made a Johnny Appleseed mini book, and so much more! Look at some of the photos from our great day!
